The Mini-hexapod platform is the answer you have been looking for. The Picard Mini-hexapod is a relatively low cost kinematics platform that allows motion with six-degrees of freedom. These motions are in the X, Y, and Z direction, with rotations about those axes. Six linear actuators are placed in a triangular pattern to achieve a rigid, stable, and precise movement while carrying a Load. With its dedicated drive electronics and Windows user interface, the control of the platform’s motions is simplified for ease of use.

The Picard Programmable Solenoid (PPS-1) gives you motion capability of a sophisticated stepper motor system with the simplicity of a simple rotary solenoid. This gives new levels of application to the user. Relatively smooth motions are now available without the need of an expensive motor control system. If you need the angular motion of a rotary solenoid, but cannot deal with the nonlinear torque and erratic (bang-bang) motion of a standard rotary solenoid, then the PPS-1 may be your solution. The PPS-1 has all the electronics it needs for programming and simulating a solenoid built onto a size 17 (1.6" sq.) stepper motor. This gives the user the ability to set the amount and speed of rotation to the desired application.

This gives new levels of application to the user. Relatively smooth motions are now available without the need of an expensive motor control system. If you need the linear motion of a linear solenoid, but cannot deal with the nonlinear force and erratic (clunking) motion, then the PPS-2 may be your solution. The PPS-2 has all the electronics it needs for programming and simulating a solenoid built onto a small (1.0" diameter) linear stepper motor. This gives the user the ability to set the stroke and speed of the linear motion for the desired application.

The new Picard Programmable Solenoid (PPS2-17) provides linear solenoid motion capability of a sophisticated stepper motor system with greater simplicity, smaller size, and lower cost. The PPS2-17 provides this motion with a constant controlled force and velocity (no erratic banging motion). The onboard electronics of the PPS2-17 allows the user to program and store the desired stroke and speed using a simple three button interface. The PPS2-17 only requires power, ground, and a control (activation) signal connections for proper operation. Any device that can connect the control signal to ground (by switch, sensor, relay, open-collector or open-drain transistor output, etc.) can activate the programmed motion.
